About the POEO public register
The public register includes licences, applications, notices, penalties, convictions, reviews, exemptions, and approvals.
The public register under section 308 of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (POEO Act) contains:
- environment protection licences
- applications for new licences and to transfer or vary existing licences
- environment protection and noise control notices
- penalty notices issued by the EPA
- convictions in prosecutions under the POEO Act
- the results of civil proceedings
- licence review information – submissions regarding licence reviews can be made at any time
- pollution studies and pollution reduction programs required by conditions of a licence
- mandatory environmental audits required to be undertaken in relation to a licence
- compliance audits
- exemptions from the provisions of the POEO Act or regulations
- details of chemical use notices
- details of chemical control orders
- approvals granted under sections 11, 18, 53, 72, 77 and 162 of the POEO (Clean Air) Regulation.
