Find Community Recycling Centres and Household Chemical CleanOut events

Find your nearest Community Recycling Centre or the next Household Chemical CleanOut event, where you can drop off household problem waste for free.

Common household problems wastes, including fluorescent lights, smoke detectors, paint, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, batteries and oils, can be taken to your local Community Recycling Centre throughout the year.

If there is no Community Recycling Centre in your area, you can take these items and others to a Chemical CleanOut event.

Please safely store your household problem waste in clearly labelled containers, in a cool dry place away from children and pets until you can visit a CRC or CleanOut event.

Click here to download the current HCC brochure for May and June 2025. Details of July to December 2025 events will be uploaded to this page soon,  once confirmed.

Residents in flood affected communities are advised to check with their local council before visiting their Community Recycling Centre for up-to-date information as some centres may be temporarily closed or have amended operating hours.
