Flood recovery programs
We are aware of the recent flood and storm events that have affected NSW in May 2025. At this stage there are no current EPA flood debris clean-up programs in operation for these events. Please contact your local Council to see if they can assist with the recovery process for recent flood and storm events.
Aboriginal lands flood recovery program
This program was set up to support flood-impacted Aboriginal communities to assess and manage the clean-up of waste generated by the 2022 floods on Aboriginal lands. The program focussed on clean-up, waste removal and installation of illegal dumping deterrence measures that are not eligible for other government funding sources.

Completed flood clean-up programs
The EPA has completed a range of flood recovery programs for the storms and floods of 2021 and 2022. These programs were funded under the joint Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
