Radiation management licence fees
The fees listed below have been calculated from 29 August 2025 for the 2025–26 financial year as prescribed in Schedule 3 (Part 2) of the Protection from Harmful Radiation Regulation 2025.
Applicants can calculate fees by using the tables below. Management licence fees comprise
- the appropriate application fee (if applicable)
- the management licence fee, based on the duration of the licence - (one year) to possess, store, sell, consign for transport, dispose of or give away (1 year)
- the applicable regulated material fee groups based on the type and purpose of the apparatus, sealed source devices and substances. Use Table 2 to assess which regulated material group(s) is applicable to you and to calculate the appropriate fees (or refer to Schedule 3 (Part 1) of the Regulation).
Notes
- A simple application is where all the required information is supplied to the EPA and the applicant has met all the relevant criteria for the licence sought.
- Applications sent to the Radiation Advisory Council (RAC) are usually those which are non-standard (i.e. complex). More information on licensing requirements can be found on the Radiation management licence requirements page. If you believe your application may be non-standard, you should contact the EPA at [email protected] or on (02) 9995 5959 before submitting your application.
- There are no fees associated with applying for a variation to an existing licence.
- Please note a credit card payment fee of 0.4 per cent applies.
