Find Community Recycling Centres and Household Chemical CleanOut events

Find your nearest Community Recycling Centre or the next Household Chemical CleanOut event, where you can drop off household problem waste for free.

Common household problems wastes, including fluorescent lights, smoke detectors, paint, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, batteries and oils, can now be taken to your local Community Recycling Centre throughout the year.

If there is no Community Recycling Centre in your area, you can take these items and others to a Chemical CleanOut event.

These services adhere to NSW Government advice and protocols. Before you attend a Chemical CleanOut event, please place all materials in the rear of your vehicle. On arrival, remain in your vehicle and our contractor will collect your items. Contractors onsite will be wearing personal protective equipment and following social distancing measures.

Covid-19

Community Recycling Centre facilities and Household Chemical CleanOut events are beginning to reopen in a safe and staged way, consistent with current NSW Health advice and Covid restrictions.

  • Most Community Recycling Centres are open, but may be subject to restrictions. Please call or check with your local Council for up-to-date information and operating hours prior to your visit.
  • Household Chemical CleanOut events will commence in late October, however details are subject to change as some sites are no longer available. Please check the table below for the latest event information and double-check the week prior to the event in case of any changes.

Please safely store your household problem waste in clearly labelled containers, in a cool dry place away from children and pets until your local service resumes, Thank you for your patience.
