    Welcome to our first edition of EPA Connect for 2020. The past months have been a tremendously challenging time for NSW, as the bushfires had and continue to have a devastating impact on many communities across the state and as we all now face the developing situation presented by COVID-19.

      When catastrophic events like the bushfires hit NSW, it is vital that the EPA’s collaboration with other agencies is seamless. To be ready for the call, the EPA’s Emergency Response teams train regularly. Read more

      Nearly everyone thinks littering is unacceptable, but some of us still do it. The NSW Government is aiming to change the community’s thinking, behaviour and reporting on littering. Read more

      Under 'Waste Less, Recycle More', the EPA has funded a new app to help the community with recycling. Businesses are also making strides increasing their recycling through Bin Trim. Read more

      Managing asbestos waste is extremely important because of the material’s serious threat to public health and the environment. A new strategy is helping the EPA to tackle the issue. Read more

    9. Summer campaigns help keep renovators and gardeners safe
