    The EPA is looking firmly to the future and in this edition we feature our new three-year Strategic Plan, a new regulatory approach and strategy, and our key role in delivering the new waste strategy and plastics plan. We also bring tips on noise pollution, safety around asbestos and lead and the latest news from the regions.

      When we issued our last EPA Connect in June, we couldn’t have imagined that we would again be in lockdown in Greater Sydney and across regional NSW. Over the past two months we have found ourselves in a rapidly evolving situation as we come together to protect the community against the spread of COVID-19. Read more

    2. New Strategic Plan - roadmap to the future

      The EPA is mapping the way to our environment’s future with a new strategic plan. Launched in late July, CEO Tracy Mackey said the EPA’s Strategic Plan 2021–24 sets out our vision for five focus areas where the EPA can have the biggest impact in achieving positive environmental and human health outcomes, over the next three years.     3. New strategy to broaden regulatory approach

      The EPA has officially launched its Regulatory Strategy 2021-24. It represents our balanced approach to regulation using eight different elements to get strong results working with industry, the community and government. Read more

    4. Big changes afoot in the world of waste

      NSW is transitioning to a circular economy over the next 20 years. This means we will minimise what we throw away and improve how we use and reuse our resources efficiently, making them as productive as possible. Read more
