Licence Condition
Provide a report prepared by a suitably qualified and experienced expert on the adequacy of the current sediment and erosion controls at the site and identifying any upgrades to ensure compliance with the Managing Urban Stormwater: Soils and Construction: Volume 1 March 2004 and Managing Urban Stormwater Volume 2 E. Mines and Quarries and this Environment Protection Licence. The report must be based on an assessment of the site and must include: a) A calculation of the surface area of each catchment in the quarry. b) Identification of the location of storm-water discharge of each sub-catchment in the quarry. c) Calculation of the required storage capacity of the sediment basins for each sub-catchment  in the quarry. d) Consistent naming of each sub-catchment and each sediment basin in the quarry. e) Documentation of actual measurements performed by the expert of the current depth of sediment basins. f) A review of the capacity and sediment storage levels of all sediment basins currently utilised onsite (licensed and unlicensed); g) Recommendations relating to any required increases in basin sizing, changes to basin location; i) Review the type and adequacy of sediment and erosion controls at all stages of quarrying and rehabilitation at the site. j) The location of licence discharge points where samples will be taken that are representative of treated wastewater leaving the premises including Easting and Northing for each; k) All proposed and actual elements of the erosion and sediment controls on the premises must be able to operate in accordance with the design requirements independent of other water management or other objectives on the site. A copy of the written report as detailed above must be received by the EPA no later than 31 December 2016.
