15 MW wood fired boiler pollution study

Licence Condition
Within 6 months of post commissioning of the 15MW wood fired boiler, the licensee must provide the NSW EPA with an Air Emissions Monitoring Report (the monitoring report). The monitoring report must: a) Include the analytical results of monitoring undertaken for the 15MW wood fired boiler. Monitoring must be undertaken for the pollutants outlined in the Table below. The tabulated methods are those contained in the Approved Methods for the Sampling and Analysis of Air Pollutants in NSW b) The monitoring required under a) must be undertaken at a suitable location selected in accordance with TM-1 of the Approved Methods for the Sampling and Analysis of Air Pollutants in NSW; c) A comparison of the analytical results obtained with the prescribed concentrations contained in the Protection of the Environment Operations (Clean Air) Regulation 2021 (the Clean Air Regulation) and the limits contained in this licence; and d) Where the comparison under c) identifies monitoring results higher than the prescribed concentrations contained in the Clean Air Regulation or limits contained in this licence, the licensee must identify necessary works to achieve compliance with the Clean Air Regulation or licence limits and nominate a timeframe for any necessary works to be implemented.
