EPA council and licensee forums 2021
The EPA's Roadshow for councils and licensees has kicked off with successful forums already held at a number of locations across NSW including Lithgow, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth, Wollongong and Sydney.
At the EPA Roadshow forums, our EPA CEO Tracy Mackey and the Executive outline the EPA’s Regulatory Strategy and inform council and industry representatives of the EPA’s key regulatory priorities, both state-wide and locally, as well as discuss local environmental topics.
We are hearing from participants that the forums are a positive way to engage with the EPA’s Executive in an open and receptive environment.
The EPA is working to be a World Class Regulator, and our engagement with stakeholders is critical to this. We are striving to increase opportunities for more two-way communication.
While this round of forums is targeted to councils and licensees, we are committed to increasing our conversations with all our stakeholders including other business, government and community stakeholders, and will continue working hard to do this throughout the year.
Given the current COVID-19 situation we have taken a conservative approach to attendee numbers and hope to be able to extend further invitations to other groups, in the future.
The forums are being held throughout February and March, if you work for a council or EPA licensee and would like to attend a forum, please visit our information and registration page. Numbers are limited.
