St Peters Community Recycling Centre now open

Inner West residents can now drop off problem wastes such as paints, oils, gas bottles, e-waste and batteries for free at the new St Peters Community Recycling Centre (CRC).

With the opening of the St Peters CRC in June 2019 there are now 92 CRCs across NSW and two CRCs in the Inner West Council area.

  • St Peters CRC: 15-17 Unwins Bridge Road, St Peters (entry at rear, through Bolton Street)
    Open: Saturday and Sunday 8am to 1pm 
  • Leichhardt  CRC: 50 - 54 Moore Street, Leichhardt
    Open: Wednesday 7:00am – 1:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 7:45am to 11:30am, 1:00pm to 3:45pm
    Inner West Council residents only.

These items are accepted for free

  • water-based and oil-based paint
  • gas bottles
  • fire extinguishers
  • used motor oils and other oils
  • car batteries
  • household batteries 
  • smoke detectors
  • fluoroescent globes and tubes
  • electronic waste including computers and TVs

The St Peters CRC was established by Council from a grant of $248,933 from the NSW Government’s Waste Less, Recycle More initiative.
