PFAS precautionary advice still in place
The precautionary advice currently in place in communities across NSW impacted by PFAS will remain in place following the release of the Federal Government’s report into health effects from PFAS.
While the PFAS Expert Health Panel have concluded that there is no current evidence to suggest an increase in overall health risk related to PFAS exposure, it also said health effects cannot be ruled out.
On this basis, it is appropriate that residents that have previously been issued with precautionary advice continue to follow it.
