Love Food Hate Waste

Grants of up to $250,000 are available to establish up to five ‘Love Food Communities’ across NSW.

The funding, through Love Food Hate Waste, will enable councils to tackle food waste across an entire community – from homes, to business, to schools, supermarkets, clubs, pubs and community groups.

All projects will include delivery of the EPA’s new Food Smart and Your Business is Food programs for households and businesses, as well other activities specific to the local community.

Applications are open to local government only in two stages. Stage 1 is the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) by 19 November 2018. The EOI’s will be assessed by an independent panel and successful applicants will be invited to the second stage to develop a detailed project plan. Funding of up to $20,000 is available for the project planning stage. Final applications must be submitted by 18 March 2019.

Full details, guidelines, application form and budget form are available for download from the Love Food Hate Waste grants webpage.
