Enviropacific fined for breaching environmental licence

The NSW Environment Protection Authority has issued a $15,000 fine to Enviropacific Services Pty Limited for alleged breaches of its environmental licence at the company’s Rutherford waste facility.

An unannounced EPA inspection in February this year identified a large volume of waste being stored in the facility’s driveway in Hinkler Avenue.

The driveway was also being used to transfer waste and at the time of the inspection a liquid waste spill in the driveway was being cleaned up.

The waste was removed from the driveway at the direction of the EPA, and the company has made a number of improvements to operating practices.
