Southern Region IFOA

The Integrated Forestry Operations Approval (IFOA) for the Southern Region was granted in 2002 and extends until 2022.

The explanatory note (PDF 16KB) outlines the IFOA’s relationship to the Regional Forest Agreements, the roles of agencies and Ministers in enforcing the IFOA, and the reporting and review requirements.

The Southern Region extends from approximately Narooma, west to Cooma and north to Mittagong.

The NSW Government is remaking the IFOAs for the Southern, Upper North East, Lower North East and Eden regions into one Coastal IFOA, which is efficient, effective and enforceable, and reflects modern best-practice regulation.
