Brigalow and Nandewar Community Conservation Area Agreement

Following the NSW Government’s regional assessment of the region, the Brigalow and Nandewar Community Conservation Area Agreement was developed to manage land zoned 1 to 4 in the Brigalow and Nandewar community conservation area in consultation with the local community.

The Community Conservation Council, in conjunction with the Central West, Border Rivers/Gwydir and Namoi community conservation advisory committees, developed the agreement.

The agreement was made between the Minister for the Environment and the Minister for Primary Industries on 11 June 2009 in accord with the Brigalow and Nandewar Community Conservation Area Act 2005 and after public consultation.
