Volunteers

Did you know?

Millions of Australians volunteer their time and gain great satisfaction through sharing experiences. Volunteers make an enormous contribution to preserving our environment and are rewarded by meeting like-minded people and spending time in a cherished environment.

Volunteering for our environment is a great way to show your passion for nature and make a positive difference. So why not do something practical to preserve NSW's beautiful environment and become a volunteer at your local national park or botanic garden?

Volunteer for national parks and reserves - there are volunteer programs throughout the state, ranging from bush regeneration to tour guiding. You don't generally need any special skills, just a bit of spare time.

Volunteer for the Botanic Gardens Trust - join the many volunteers working at the Royal Botanic Gardens and at Mount Annan and Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens. Become a volunteer guide, work in the herbarium or nursery, or become one of the  Friends of The Gardens.

Volunteer for our environment - by volunteering 'green' you can get involved in activities as varied as the environment itself.
