Spray drift management

The EPA, in collaboration with the NSW Farmers Association, Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) and Cotton Australia, has prepared an education campaign to inform farmers on how to avoid spray drift and about the technical and regulatory requirements when using 2,4-D.

See Cotton Australia’s best practice guidelines on spray drift.

Rinsate

The inappropriate disposal of pesticide rinsate can harm people and the environment.

A guidance document has been prepared to assist users of pesticides in NSW in selecting appropriate practices and disposal options when dealing with pesticides rinsate - Guidelines for managing the disposal of pesticide rinsate (PDF 127KB).
