Clean out your household's chemical clutter the right way. Have you ever wondered what to do with those unwanted, out-of-date or disused household chemicals kept in your kitchen, bathroom, laundry, garage or garden shed?

Do you know the safest way to dispose of potentially hazardous household chemicals? CleanOut is the answer.

CleanOut is a FREE service for the safe disposal of a range of common household chemicals, many of which could cause harm if not disposed of correctly. In addition, many of these materials can be recycled or reused, so not only are you helping to reduce waste and pollution, you are also helping in resource recovery efforts.

CleanOut drop-off centres operate at various locations at specified dates throughout the year. Have a look at the events calendar and brochures and locate a collection that is convenient to you.

See the locations and dates below or contact your local council for more information. Locations and dates are subject to change, so please check prior to drop-off. Opening times are 9 am - 3:30 pm (unless otherwise stated).

Enquiries: info@environment.nsw.gov.au or phone the Environment Line 131 555.
