NSW Council on Environmental Education

The NSW Council on Environmental Education (CEE) was established under the Protection of the Environment Administration Act 1991 to advise the NSW Government on strategic directions for environmental education.

The current CEE was appointed by the Minister for the Environment in consultation with the Minister for Education and Training in February 2004. Its term is fixed at three years.

  • Effective and integrated environmental education which builds the capacity of the people of NSW to be informed and active participants in moving society towards sustainability.

All sectors of the NSW community are called on to play their part in building a learning society, one in which we are all informed and active contributors to creating a more sustainable future. Nominations for Chairperson

The NSW Government is seeking a new Chairperson for the NSW Council on Environmental Education.
