The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is your primary government contact for all the requirements associated with NSW environmental regulation. For example, we provide information and services in regard to environment protection licences, public registers of regulatory information, compliance auditing, your duty to report pollution incidents and the requirements for publishing monitoring data. We can provide advice about any aspect of compliance with environmental legislation.

Draft waste strategy 2013

A review of the current 2007 strategy has been completed and a new Draft NSW Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2013-21 is now released for public comment.

Publishing pollution monitoring data

The EPA guide: Requirements for Publishing Pollution Monitoring Data explains pollution monitoring data that you may need to publish if you hold an environment protection licence.

All industry are required to adhere to the ‘duty to notify’ sections of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (POEO Act).

Private Native Forestry training clips

The EPA has developed a series of DVDs and video clips for landholders, contractors and other stakeholders interested in Private Native Forestry (PNF). The training resources provide information to help protect the environment and maintain forest health during private native forestry operations.
